Where is your clinic located?

Our newly renovated clinic is located in the heart of Columbia Falls at 535 4th Avenue West Columbia Falls. Our clinic has a full weight room, functional equipment, blood flow restriction cuffs, return to sport equipment and private treatment rooms. We also offer wellness classes like yoga.

Now that you have a clinic, where do you travel for mobile visits?

We will provide in-home, mobile visits for patients who live within 10 miles of our clinic in Columbia Falls. We can occasionally provide one or two sessions for patients who live outside of our driving range, but we might not be able to provide consistent follow up appointments. Rachell Kirk is our physical therapist in Bigfork and provides care within 10 miles from downtown Bigfork including in Somers and Lakeside.

How does a mobile physical therapy session work?

Prior to your PT appointment, you can schedule a free consultation to talk to your DPT about your condition and what to expect from physical therapy.  Your DPT will come to your home or office with all the equipment needed for each session. We ask that you make space for a portable massage table and some room for exercise. On the first evaluation appointment, your DPT will perform a full musculoskeletal examination and assessment of your current condition. Your DPT will educate you on your injury or condition and prescribe a specific home exercise program and provide recommendations for treatment. Every session is tailored to you and your needs, to allow for optimal recovery. Physical Therapy sessions last 45-60 minutes.

Do I need any special equipment in my house for mobile sessions?

Nope! We come with all of the equipment needed to provide physical therapy and wellness services. If you have a home gym or other exercise equipment, that can be beneficial and can be used in your appointments.  We can also bring a portable treatment table, so you can get the same hands on care you would get in a clinic.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! We are in network with most major insurance carriers including Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Allegiance, Blue Cross Blue Shield, First Choice Health, Aetna, Cigna, Mountain Health Co-Op and PacificSource. We also accept self pay clients who do not have insurance and can create superbills for out of network coverage.

Do you treat medicare patients?

YES! We are in network with Medicare and will bill under Medicare part B services. We will need a doctor’s referral for the first treatment but can assist you in the process.

What is dry needling?

Dry needling is a manual therapy technique which involves the placement of a thin filament needle into muscle or soft tissue to stimulate a localized inflammatory response, increase microcirculation and reduce myofascial trigger points. Dry needling also stimulates the release of endogenous opioids, endorphins and anti-inflammatory markers into the bloodstream. This procedure is effective for many musculoskeletal conditions including but not limited to: spinal pain, myofascial pain, nerve impingement, headaches and joint pain. We also utilize cupping, IASTM and kinesiotape to reduce myofascial restrictions and promote healing.

What is pelvic floor physical therapy?

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles located at the base of your pelvis. These muscles are involved with supporting the pelvic organs including the uterus and a growing baby during pregnancy. Theses muscles are involved with bowel and bladder function. Our therapists, Jackie Bullock and Tanner Tripp both have advanced training that allows them to perform internal and external pelvic floor muscle examinations to assess the strength, endurance and muscle tone. Pelvic floor examinations are always conducted with the highest level of privacy and sensitivity to allow you to feel as comfortable as possible. Treatments can also involve biofeedback training and electrical stimulation, which can help improve pelvic floor activation and motor control. A pelvic floor assessment is highly recommended for all women who are post-partum, including vaginal births and cesarean sections. Pelvic floor PT also helps with the treatment of: stress/urge incontinence, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, rectocele, cystocele repairs and pelvic pain.

Physical therapy care begins with a comprehensive musculoskeletal examination to determine the root cause of your symptoms, injury or assess function following post-operative procedure. We will review relevant past medical history that may be affecting your condition, assess posture, muscle weakness, imbalances, restrictions and perform specialized orthopedic tests as indicated. From there, a doctor of physical therapy  will work with you to develop a customized treatment plan including therapeutic exercise and hands-on interventions that will facilitate your healing.  Sessions range from 45-90 minutes, depending on your needs.

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that originate on the base of your pelvis that help regulate bowel/bladder function, support your organs and support your growing baby during pregnancy. Like other muscles, the pelvic floor can hold tension, be weak and have poor coordination. The pelvic floor can be assessed internally or externally and all sessions are performed with the highest privacy and sensitivity. Biofeedback training is also utilized to allow patients to better visualize pelvic floor muscle function and improve muscular activation. Pelvic floor dysfunction and weakness can cause many annoying symptoms including urinary leakage and pelvic pain.
